Final Project Overview
In this assignment you look at trends in the United States that will influence health care in the future: aging of the population and rising incidence of obesity in the population. You explain what these demographic changes mean in terms of disease trends and what can be done to reduce the related health complications. You also discuss how health care delivery will adapt to provide the care necessary to accommodate these trends.
Final Project Timeline
You should budget your time wisely and work on your project throughout the course. As outlined below, some assignments in the course are designed to help you in create your final project. If you complete your course activities and use the feedback provided by the instructor, you will be on the right track to successfully complete your project.
¨ Suggested in Week One: Review the project description in Week Nine. Make notes on the growing rate of obesity and aging of the United States population. Consider how the environment relates to health issues.
¨ Suggested in Week Two: Make notes on the disease trends in immunity, infectious diseases, and cancer that may result from obesity and aging. Consider how environmental changes relate to health issues.
