Students will examine a population health-related topic, which is relevant to the U.S. It can include any of the ones below.
- Communicable Diseases
- Substance Abuse
- Societal Violence
- Disaster Preparedness
- Care of Clients in Disaster Settings
As part of this process, the pupils will need to perform the functions listed below.
· Provide an overview of the disease/issue.
· Discuss issue’s/disease’s impact on the U.S.
o Health impact (nationwide)
o Health impact (key subgroups)
o Financial impact (nationwide)
o Financial impact (key subgroups)
They will also answer these questions…

· Financial impact (personal level)
Students will need to ensure that their papers meet all APA-related guidelines. They must cite all sources and add a references page. Students will need to include an introduction and conclusion.
