The Nutrition Services Incentive Program (NSIP)

This program helps ensure older adults receive proper nutrition by serving them already prepared meals. Administered by DHHS. The program is part of the Older Americans Act, and is funded by a variety of sources including the government, fundraising, and pay from participants. It not only serves to help provide valuable nutrition, but to also prevent further health issues.

Older adults. The only qualification is that the individual must be at least 60 years old. It is, however, targeted towards needier populations, such as low-income individuals and minorities.

It is available in my community through Meals On Wheels and the nutrition classes at the local senior center.
