C-Level Report
The information that is presented in a C-level report helps decision-makers make a judgment based on the paper that you are submitting. The following items are to be included in the C-Level Report:
· Executive summary: Decision-makers must recognize the importance of the recommendation within this section. The executive summary is approximately one page that succinctly presents the executive with a statement of the need or problem; recommendations; consequences of the recommendations, such as benefits, disadvantages, costs, and risks; investment required; and high-level view of the project plan.
· The need or problem: This section explains why a decision is needed and why it is needed now.
· Alternative solutions: This section describes the other solutions and explains why they were discarded compared with the recommended solution.
· Recommended solution: This section outlines the details of the recommended solution. These details should include: how requirements will be gathered, the use of technology, effects on the organization and users, and the change process.
· Risks and solutions: This section includes the risks associated with the recommended solution and explains how one would overcome some of the most serious risks.
· Consequences of the recommended solution: This section includes the implications for all stakeholders.
· Investment required: If information is available to present a financial picture, it would be outlined in this section. Cost elements are referenced in this section.
Project plan: This section contains two levels of a work breakdown structure; resources required, such as people and skills, hardware, software and communications; milestones; and a schedule
